Path and line of sight.
The chart shows the terrain, line of sight and the 1st Fresnel zone along the whole path, including the Earth-curvature correction and a verdict against the selected target availability. The k-factor option (sub-refraction) is offered for paths longer than 20 km.
This option recalculates the terrain chart and Fresnel zone as well as the "Clearance" badge above — k = 2/3 assumes a greater Earth bulge (worse weather scenario); otherwise the tool always uses the standard k = 4/3.
The terrain and Fresnel zone chart is available only when the path is entered from the map — with a manually entered distance the tool has no GPS coordinates or elevation profile to calculate it from.
Link availability.

Combined availability of the multiband solution
Base capacity = the capacity just before the whole link fails — the more sensitive Band 1 has already dropped out completely because of rain, and only the most robust (lowest) modulation of Band 2 is running. Full capacity = when both bands run at the same time, in clear weather.

1st Fresnel zone.
Calculated from the total distance entered in the Link endpoints section. The full path profile with Earth-curvature correction and verdict is in the "Path and line of sight" section above.
Notes.
Link comparison.
How much capacity each option sustains at what availability (worse polarisation). For multiband, the total capacity of both bands. Dashed line: target availability.
